Food processing installations around the world have ROTEX® and MEGATEX™ Screeners hard at work. Their gyratory motion, gentle action, and cleanable sanitary designs are key ROTEX design features for these applications. Milled or ground flour, used for baking, typically has a very fine particle size and are a specialty of these Rotex and Megatex screeners. They have the ability to handle flour bulk density ranges from 35 to 45 pounds per cubic foot. Flour is scalped in the 10 to 40 mesh range. Anticipating that flour tends to pill, or form soft lumps on the screen, ROTEX Screeners include modifications to insure that all of the fine material is screened.

Mrylen Airsweeps provide powerful pulses of air directed between the material and container wall to sweep and lift material off the sloping surfaces. Loosened material falls towards the outlet, initiating downward flow of the bin contents.

Airsweeps maintain positive and controlled outflow with minimum expenditure of air.

The system can operate independently or can easily integrate with other equipment or automation systems. Based upon flow requirements, the system is set to sequentially pulse bursts of high-velocity air along the container wall. Up to an 8-foot diameter of material is dislodged with each pulse, promoting steady outflow.

Airsweeps can improve your production capabilities. For an example visit the Coal Feeder Case History.
